Senior Compliance Director

An innovative and groundbreaking research pharmaceutical company is seeking an experienced compliance leader to head a team and take on this role as part of the Japan management team.

The main responsibilities of the position are as follows:

• Support business teams and management with expert advice and guidance on corporate regulatory matters relating to the domestic pharmaceutical business and global projects
• Serve as the main point of contact for all compliance matters, for the leadership team and with external regulators
• Advocate for and oversee internal compliance training and education and the development of a strong compliance-focused culture across the company
• Monitor external regulatory environment and stay up to date with industry standards and trends and implement any changes to internal policies and rules as necessary

The successful candidate will have:

• A minimum of twelve years of compliance experience in the pharmaceutical industry in Japan
• Significant leadership experience and knowledge of country-wide compliance programs
• Hands-on approach to implementing and improving compliance initiatives
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in Japanese and English
